Tentative Schedule

Friday, June 23, 2011
Starting at noon, drive to Highlands Sanctuary (entry fee required of $6 per person; goes to a great cause!), west of Chillicothe for the afternoon, where there is a wealth of limestone-based flora; in early evening, go to Paint Creek State Park dam which is an exceptional site for Pellaea glabella.
Saturday, June 24, 2011
Starting at 7 am, drive to Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve, northwest of Jackson. Around noon, drive to Hocking Hills State Park and Crane Hollow Nature Preserve. Joe Moosbrugger will be our guide at Crane Hollow. These are all beautiful sandstone gorge systems, with acid flora.
Sunday, June 25, 2011
Starting at 8 am, see an unusual and undescribed polypody on Long Run, just outside of Athens. Then explore at Strouds Run State Park, just outside of Athens. This is a more pH-neutral flora.
